Sensitive Information

Some financial data may be considered sensitive under certain laws. We collect it only to provide the Services you've requested. We do not use it to infer protected characteristics about you (such as health, religion, or political views) and do not sell it.

3. How We Collect Information

We collect information from these sources:

  • Directly from you — when you sign up, fill in your profile, manually enter transactions or assets, contact support, or respond to surveys.
  • Automatically from your device — through cookies, SDKs, and analytics tools when you use the app or website.
  • From financial data providers — if you choose to link external accounts, we receive transaction and balance data from providers such as [e.g., Plaid, Belvi, Fintoc, or other aggregator you use]. Those providers have their own privacy policies, available at their websites. We never receive or store your bank login credentials.
  • From third-party services you connect — for example, if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from those providers.
  • From people you share access with — if you grant a partner, family member, or financial advisor access to your account, we may receive information about you from them.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and operate the Services (sync accounts, calculate net worth, generate reports, build budgets, track goals).
  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • Communicate with you about your account, product updates, support requests, and (with your consent where required) marketing.
  • Improve, debug, and develop new features through analytics and research.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We will not use your personal information for materially different purposes without notifying you and, where required, obtaining your consent.

5. How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only as described below. We do not sell your financial information.

  • Service Providers. Companies that help us run Tita — for example, cloud hosting, database providers, analytics tools, customer support platforms, email delivery, and payment processors. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
  • Financial Data Aggregators. If you link external accounts, we share necessary identifiers with the aggregator that connects to your bank (see Section 3).
  • Payment Processors. Our payment processor (currently [e.g., Stripe / Mercado Pago], and the Apple App Store or Google Play Store for in-app purchases) handles payment card data directly under their own privacy policies.
  • People You Authorize. If you share access to your account with a household member, partner, or advisor, that person will be able to view, and possibly modify, the data in your account.
  • Legal and Safety Reasons. When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tita, our users, or others.
  • Business Transfers. If Tita is acquired, merges, or transfers assets, your information may be part of the transaction. We will notify you and continue to honor this Policy or update it accordingly.
  • Aggregated or De-identified Data. We may create and share data that has been aggregated or stripped of personal identifiers (for example, statistics about how features are used). This data cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website and app use cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies ("Cookies") to recognize your browser or device, remember your preferences, analyze usage, and (where applicable) measure marketing performance.

Types of Cookies we may use:

  • Essential Cookies — required for login, session management, and security. Disabling these may break parts of the Services.
  • Functional Cookies — remember your preferences (language, currency, theme).
  • Analytics Cookies — help us understand how the Services are used (for example, Google Analytics, PostHog, or whatever you use).
  • Advertising Cookies — if we run marketing campaigns, used to measure their effectiveness. We do not show third-party advertisements inside Tita.

You can manage cookies through your browser or device settings, and (where required) through our cookie banner or "Cookie Preferences" link on our website.

7. Data Security

We use technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards designed to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. You also play a part: choose a strong unique password, enable two-factor authentication if available, and log out on shared devices. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we ever experience a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

8. Data Retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide the Services. After you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to:

  • Comply with legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations.
  • Resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
  • Prevent fraud or abuse.

Backup copies may persist for a limited additional period before being overwritten.

9. International Data Transfers

Tita may store and process your information in countries other than the one where you live, including Argentina. Where required, we use appropriate legal mechanisms to transfer data internationally (such as Standard Contractual Clauses for EU users).

10. Children's Privacy

Tita is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected information from a child, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at support@tita.com.ar.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal information.
  • Portability — request your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Objection / Restriction — object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw Consent — where we rely on your consent, withdraw it at any time.
  • Opt out — opt out of marketing communications and (where applicable) targeted advertising.
  • Lodge a complaint — with your local data protection authority. In Argentina, that is the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP).

These rights are subject to legal limits and verification of your identity.

12. How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any of the rights above, contact us at support@tita.com.ar with enough information for us to verify your identity and understand your request. You can also delete your account directly from the app's settings.

We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We won't charge a fee unless your request is excessive, repetitive, or clearly unfounded, and if we decide to charge, we will explain why first.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may appeal by replying to our decision, or file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll notify you by email, in-app notice, or another reasonable method, and update the "Effective Date" at the top. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
